A couple shares old photos and loving messages as Saif's sister joins the celebration with a tribute.

Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan celebrated 14 years of marriage on Friday. They shared old photos and loving messages on social media to mark the day.

Kareena posted a series of old pictures on Instagram showing different parts of their life together. The photos went from their early days as a couple to family moments with their sons, Taimur and Jeh. "Another year around the sun…Forever to go," she wrote, showing her lasting love for her husband.

Saif replied in the comments in his usual funny way: "I wonder what the moon thinks about all this... Happy anniversary love!!!"

Fans loved the exchange and celebrated the couple's relationship and how they balance big careers with family life.

Saif's sister, Saba Ali Khan, also marked the day with a long tribute. She shared photos of the couple and a message about the years she had seen their companionship.

"Happy Anniversary. To my brother and sister... in law (only a technicality.) Wishing you the journey of many more beautiful years ahead.. filled with moments to treasure. From the collection of photos taken by me... its nostalgic to see how long I've witnessed your companionship," she wrote.

Welcoming Kareena into the family, Saba added, "Bebo.. welcome to the family again. You completed the Khan clan! Bhai welcome to the gram family! Happy happy Anniversary to u both. Lots of Love."

From Tashan to marriage

Saif and Kareena's relationship got a lot of attention while making Tashan in 2008. Directed by Vijay 

Krishna Acharya, the action film brought the two actors together on screen and became a big chapter in their personal lives.

After dating for about five years, the couple married in Mumbai on October 16, 2012, in a private ceremony at Saif's Bandra home. Their wedding celebrations also included traditional events and a reception attended by family and friends from the film industry.

Their marriage brought together two big Bollywood families. Saif, the son of veteran actor Sharmila 

Tagore and former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, had two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, from his previous marriage to actor Amrita Singh.

Kareena, meanwhile, was already a top leading actor in Hindi cinema, having starred in films like Jab We Met, 3 Idiots and Bodyguard.

The couple welcomed their first son, Taimur, in December 2016, followed by their younger son, Jehangir in February 2021.

Over the years, the family has shared occasional glimpses of holidays, celebrations and everyday moments on social media, while mostly keeping their private lives separate from their work.

A shared screen history

Saif and Kareena have been in several films together. They have shown their on-screen chemistry to audiences. Their notable films together include LOC: Kargil (2003), Omkara (2006), Tashan (2008), Kurbaan (2009) and Agent Vinod (2012). These films cover action, romance, drama and crime thrillers.

Even though they have this shared film history, they have not been in a full-length film together since Agent Vinod. Kareena also had a small role in Saif's Happy Ending (2014).

In a June 2026 interview with Variety India, Saif talked about the possibility of acting with his wife again. He said they would need the right project to work together again. The pair have not rushed into another film together just because of their real-life marriage.

What's next for the couple?

After their anniversary, both actors are still busy in movies. Kareena was recently in Daayra. This crime drama asks questions about justice and crime. It's another film in her ongoing career as a top actor.

Saif starred in Priyadarshan's Haiwan, a crime thriller with Akshay Kumar and a big cast. The film is a remake of Priyadarshan's Malayalam thriller Oppam.

The couple will also be together on season five of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Their episode will stream on Netflix on October 17, one day after their anniversary. This gives fans another chance to see them share jokes and stories outside their movie roles.
