Actress Momina Iqbal asked Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for help Wednesday, saying she's being harassed online and getting death threats.
Momina shared online that she's been getting harassed, bullied online, and even threatened with death for a while. She said this person caused her and her family a lot of mental stress and trauma.
Momina said on Instagram that a politician from the PML-N party has been threatening her for a while. She didn't say who it was. She reported it to cybercrime agencies, but they haven't done anything.
"Instead of making sure justice is done, people have tried to stop me from complaining. Even people connected to CM Maryam's office tried to stop the issue from being investigated fairly," she said.
Momina said that because she spoke out and took legal action, she and her family are now in danger.
"I'm asking the authorities to quickly start a fair investigation, protect her family, and punish those responsible according to the law," she stated.
Momina also cautioned that if this issue keeps getting ignored, she will hold a public press conference and "show all the proof she has against everyone who harassed, threatened, and tried to stop her from complaining to protect a politician."
The actress asked Chief Minister Maryam for help, saying she trusts the chief minister will act fairly and legally against anyone who misused their power or interfered with justice.
