Saif Ali Khan's sister talks about handling the family's 10 billion rupee inheritance.

The custodian of the Auqaf-e-Shahi trust says her late father's teachings still guide her in her work to preserve the heritage.

Saba Pataudi, the sister of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, has spoken about her job of looking after the Pataudi family's heritage. She said her late father, former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, gave her this duty.

According to Gulf News, Saba takes care of the family's property in Bhopal and the Auqaf-e-Shahi trust. The whole family's legacy is worth more than 10 billion Indian rupees, but that doesn't mean Saba owns all of it.

Talking about how her father trusted her, Saba said, "Abba left that to me," as reported by the publication.

Her work isn't just about managing property. As the person in charge of the Auqaf-e-Shahi trust, she looks after buildings and charity duties linked to the family's history with Bhopal. The trust's assets include mosques, other properties, and facilities for pilgrims going to Makkah and Madinah. Her job is to handle these duties while keeping the historical and charitable value of the family's heritage.

Saba said her father's lessons still guide her. He taught her to stay calm, treat people fairly, and think before speaking.

She also described her late father as a guide in her spiritual life, helping her understand how important the job she was given truly is.

Besides handling the family's assets, Saba has talked about possible plans to help women and girls, like starting a school for girls and a hospital for women, as reported by Gulf News. But these ideas depend on solving legal issues with family property first, the report added.

These efforts would bring a charitable side to her duties, which include not just looking after family wealth but also managing properties and institutions tied to the Pataudi legacy.

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, often called Tiger Pataudi, was a well-known Indian cricketer and led the national team. His marriage to veteran actor Sharmila Tagore united two famous families linked to Indian sports and film. Saba is their daughter and the sister of Saif Ali Khan and actor Soha Ali Khan.
