Zara Noor Abbas gets ready for action in the first look at the 'Sheroes' story 'Gear Up'.
The actor plays a cop in the scene, with car chases, a bomb-defusing part, and a motorcycle entrance.
Actor Zara Noor Abbas has shown the official poster for Gear Up, her part in the upcoming movie collection called Sheroes. This gives fans their first look at the action-filled story before the teaser comes out on September 8.
Abbas shared the poster on Instagram, where she appears in action clothes, wearing gloves and holding a gun. The picture shows a very different role for her, as she plays a police officer in the film.
In the caption with the poster, Abbas wrote, "Some roles challenge you. Some inspire you, and some show you what true bravery looks like. I am proud to present the official poster of GEAR UP… my part in the collection film SHEROES."
She also gave a bit more detail about the story, calling it "a tale of bravery when things are tough," and hinted that the poster is just the start. "This is only the beginning," she said, and announced that the Gear Up teaser will be out on September 8.
Gear Up is one of three separate stories that make up Sheroes, a collection starring Abbas along with Kinza Hashmi and Ushna Shah. The film was first shown through its trailer in late August, introducing three women whose stories happen on their own but share the bigger theme of women dealing with their own challenges.
The film's official summary explains its idea simply: "Three women. Three worlds. Three stories that stand completely by themselves."
Abbas' part seems to be the most action-heavy of the three. In the trailer, her character is a police officer, with scenes showing fast car chases, a bomb-disposal scene, and her arriving at a police station on a motorbike.
The rollout of each story started with Hashmi's part, titled 'Artist,' which was the first of the three to get its own teaser. Released last week, the teaser showed Hashmi's character along with Nayyer Ejaz, Nazar Ul Hasan, and Ahmad Hassan.
Instead of an action plot, 'Artist' seems to focus on the world of art and forgery. Hashmi was also the first of the three main actors to reveal her own poster, with 'Artist' marking her chapter in the anthology.
Abbas's part, called 'Gear Up,' is now following that rollout, and Shah's segment is expected to get its own spotlight as the film gets closer to its release.
Together, the three parts give Sheroes a structure where each lead lives in a clearly different world while dealing with their own struggles.
Sheroes is set to hit theaters across Pakistan on September 18.
