Salman Khan and his sister Alvira were called to court in a case about Being Human jewelry.
An Indian court has ordered some siblings and company leaders to come to court in October because of a problem with the Being Human jewelry brand.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his sister, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, are called to court in Chandigarh, India, because of a complaint about the Being Human jewelry brand.
The court has ordered Khan, Agnihotri, and company officials who sell Being Human jewelry to show up on October 5, as reported by Gulf News.
This case started because a businessman named Arun Gupta complained. He said he put 300 million rupees into opening a Being Human jewelry store in Chandigarh's Manimajra after signing a deal with the company allowed to run the brand.
According to the complaint, about 100 million rupees were spent to set up the showroom. Gupta claimed that the store's work was later disturbed, causing financial losses worth many crores of rupees.
The fight started in July 2021, when police called Khan, Agnihotri, and six others for questioning. These people included the head of the Being Human Foundation and officials linked to the jewellery license.
In answer to the claims, the Being Human Foundation said it had nothing to do with the fight. It said the problem was only between the licensed jewellery company and another group. The foundation also said that neither it, Khan, Agnihotri, nor any of its helpers signed the agreement that was the main issue.
The foundation also made it clear that Khan owns the Being Human brand, but he is not a trustee of the Being Human Foundation.
Neither Khan nor Agnihotri has said anything publicly about the latest court summons.
