It seems Ramsha Khan doesn't want to be seen on social media at all.
The actress wasn't seen in her sister's wedding photos and videos, and told reporter Hassan Choudary she didn't want to be on camera at all.
Actor Ramsha Khan has been absent from social media for a while. It is now clear that she does not want to be public at all.
She deleted or deactivated her Instagram account after marrying Khushhal Khan, her Biryani co-star, in April. Recently, she told Hassan Choudary of Something Haute that she does not even want to be seen on social media following what happened at her wedding.
In a podcast released on Tuesday, Choudary said he talked to both Ramsha and Khushhal, and the actor told him she didn't want to appear online.
It's been a few months since she stopped using social media, but fans were confused by her seeming absence from her sister Alysha Khan's wedding celebrations last week.
Unlike Ramsha and Khushhal, Alysha shared a lot about her wedding online and when people couldn't see the actor anywhere, they became worried. Some guessed the couple were in the background wearing masks based on a quick look at a couple in one of the videos, but it's not clear if that was them.
As for Ramsha's own wedding, she and her husband first chose to keep it private, but pictures of their supposed nikkah were leaked. This made the actor write a strongly worded message scolding social media pages for using her private life for attention.
Choudary said this was the main reason she didn't want to use social media anymore, saying it might have hurt her mental health.
Fans were concerned for the actor, and some started guessing about her and Khushhal. But the host said Ramsha told him everything was fine.
If Khushhal had told me this, I might have doubted it, but I talked to Ramsha directly... She is very happy, and when I asked her, 'What's happening?' she said, 'I just don't want to be on camera anymore.'
There has also been online guessing about Ramsha leaving the entertainment field and whether Khushhal was involved. Choudary said not working was Ramsha's own choice, one she had been suggesting even before she got married.
The host asked the actor's fans and news people who were trying, sometimes using not-so-good ways, to get information about her to please respect her privacy.
